I am addicted to cozy mysteries and this was one of the coziest! Book one in the Massachusetts Mayhem Mysteries, Where the Truth lies is a delightful read that pulls the reader in from the first word and holds on until the end. Casey is devastated at the death of her beloved Aunt and certain that the authorities are wrong in their suicide ruling. If they won't investigate, she will. After all, thanks to fictional sleuth Brandy Purcell, Casey is an expert in how a murder investigation should go.
As Casey continues to dig, she finds herself in danger and Luke Kerrigan feels the need to step in and protect. Casey does not need anyone's protection.. especially Luke's. He is, after all, on the top of her suspect list!
Casey continues to dig unearthing secrets long thought buried.. secrets that will shake the peacefulness of Pine Valley and hurt those Casey holds dearest. But the truth has to be known.
